What is a Birthday? A birthday is technically the anniversary of the day we came kicking and screaming into this world- through the pain and labor of our Mothers. It is the day our soul entered into a journey - through this human experience - to learn- evolve and become enlightened- and then to teach that to another.
I will probably call my Mother- as I usually do to thank her for that.
I don't really make a fuss about birthdays, but today marks a special year.
Every seven years we experience a transitional age- at 7 we are no longer babies- we become children- at 14 we transition into adolescence- at 21 we become adults....and so on...
For me this year marks the last year before a major transition. this will be year for me to take the opportunity to really put the past to rest- to reflect and celebrate the victories and take all that growth and knowledge into the next 7 year phase of growth. I'm pretty excited- and a little sad...
Today is also the New moon- a time of finishing- mourning and reflecting on what hasn't come to pass and creating what I want to happen.
It's kind of like watching 'It's a wonderful life'.. We wonder- what purpose has my existence served by being here? - What difference am I really making to others?
So the phone rang this morning and I hear my friend Jen singing Happy Birthday-
Then I get Online and see all the wonderful people whom I've met along this great journey- taking the time to stop and wish me well ...and I am so grateful,
for it truly is a Wonderful Life....
Happy Birthday to me........
